Michael J. Reece

Mike Reece specializes in criminal and traffic law in Johnston County, North Carolina. For over 30 years, he has handled some of the most difficult situations imaginable with skill, judgment, and tact. He is certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a Specialist in State Criminal Law.

Mike has appeared in over 29,000 cases in the District and Superior Courts of Johnston County, has tried over 60 jury trials in Johnston and surrounding counties, and has argued in both the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of North Carolina.

Mike graduated, cum laude, from N.C. State University in 1991 with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and was President of the Engineers’ Council. He earned his law degree, with honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1994, where he was a Chancellors Scholar and member of the Holderness Moot Court Team.

Since 1994, he has been admitted to practice law in North Carolina’s state courts. He is also admitted to practice in the Eastern and Middle Districts of the federal courts located in North Carolina.
